MFDC Welding Systems.

Main features

AVENOR offers MFDC spot welders and projection welders with excellent performance and stability. With accuracy in both spot welding and projection welding, they deliver consistent weld quality and substantial cost savings.

A spot resistance welder is an essential solution for fast, reliable sheet metal joining across automotive, fabrication, and industrial applications. It delivers precise heat and pressure to produce strong, clean welds with minimal distortion, ensuring consistent quality and efficient production.

Advantages of the process

  • Reduces power loss
  • Rapid current rise
  • Stable current output
  • High heating intensity
MFDC Welding Systems

MFDC welders vs AC welders

  • MFDC welders deliver a highly stable direct current waveform, producing minimal power peaks and virtually no spatter during welding. This improves both the quality and the reliability of the weld.
  • MFDC welders are not affected by part shape or material, which eliminates the inductance loss often found in traditional systems. That adaptability makes them a versatile choice across a wide range of applications.
  • With an energy requirement of only two-thirds that of a conventional AC welder, MFDC systems significantly reduce demand on factory power grids. They hold precise control over welding current even during voltage fluctuations.
  • An MFDC transformer weighs around one-third of its AC equivalent. That reduction matters most in robotic welding, where it allows greater flexibility and easier integration into automated cells.
  • MFDC technology works alongside existing robot welding control systems, removing the need for separate power grids and contributing to a cleaner manufacturing process.
